Yes, I do not understand what is happening because is not the first UE4 game that fails with G3D, Remnant from the ashes was never fixed and initially was working with G3D and suddenly it didn’t hook G3D anymore.

My main issue is also that I never understand what is the proper way to use the Shader Authoring, in this case for example, it seems to be one layer that is not rendering in the right eye because I can see the HUD on both eyes, and I can see the background in both eyes, however the main layer that displays the character fails, just by running the game in the main menu the issue can be seen perfectly or starting the game as well.

I hope anyone or Ralf can take a look, and not be offended by a game like this (or even check Remnant from the ashes UE4 game)

I have been enjoying Remnant: from the Ashes in Cinema mode with Z3D — the first game I’ve spent considerable time in VorpX with. I noticed the perhaps older profiles claiming to support G3D, but couldn’t figure out how to assign the game to them. Researching that, I found this thread. Not much left I guess but to say that you can count one more user who would enjoy a working G3D mode for this game. Thanks!

I see that some games do not give any 3d neither. Remnant from the ashes and dishonored 2 both just get shown in immersive screen without any 3d options available.

Apart from that a full factory reset might be worth a try, just in case some settings changes you made caused the issue. You can do a factory reset in the config app under trouble shooting. That’s a bit of a long shot though in this case.

Just checked Hellblade, What Remains of Edith Finch and Mordhau for you with the currently released vorpX version. No problems with these games, so the profiles are OK. I can only assume that there have been some changes to Remnant of the Ashes, that invalidated the existing user profiles as well as making the game fail with other UE4 profiles. Can’t really say anything more specific though since I never tried the game.

Hi there!

Not sure what is going on but I was playing this game with G3D on a previous VorpX version.
But on current version it stopped working and now I keep finding profiles on the cloud that were listed also as G3D but right now no one works in G3D….all profiles work with Z3D Normal/Adaptive and those are no close at all on how good it was with G3D.

HELP ? anyone?

I’ve been trying other similar profiles that found as recommended:

Conan exile, Hellblade, Mordhau, and Edith Finch but no luck so far.

Remnant from the Ashes is Unreal4 what other profiles I could check?

Anyone been playing this one at least to confirm why is not working anymore?

I was playing this game with beautiful G3D then after an update I can see the official VorpX profile but this “new and official profile” killed G3D and now it is only z-normal or z-adaptive, in the meantime I can still see a Remnant G3D profile available in the cloud since previous versions…
HOW DO I USE it again in G3D ?? I cannot assign the exe file, the exe file is assigned to the official new VorpX profile…it cannot be removed and therefore is not allowing me to play in G3D as I was playing before.

Thanks Raif!

I wasn’t able to test it on every hotfix, but after the most recent I’ve tried Remnant: From the Ashes and Dark Souls III. VoiceAttack wouldn’t work in either. My Xbox controller (Bluetooth connection) works fine for Remnant. When I try it with Dark Souls III, though, nothing. If I hit Del on the keyboard, I can use the gamepad to navigate the VorpX menu (and make sure that the Oculus Touch controllers are disabled), but when I close the VorpX menu, Dark Souls III stops accepting any inputs at all from anything and I have to CTRL+ALT+DEL my way out.

What the point to have Cloud User Profiles if no one can use it?

Cloud has Geometry 3D Remnant: From the Ashes profile, but it’s not possible to try it.
Just allow us Remove *.exe from the official profile and assign it to another one.
Why not?

Hi all.

I’ve been playing Remnant on my Xbox since it is included with my Game Pass subscription. I really love the game!

I’m thinking about buying it for my PC with the intent of playing in VR with Vorpx, but I wonder how the performance is since the game is pretty graphically demanding. Also, does it play well in VR with the sometimes fast and frantic gameplay? I get that it is probably played in cinema mode as otherwise it could be pretty nausea inducing.

How is the quality of the 3D effect? Some games look remarkably good in Vorpx, but some look like “3D movie glasses”.

If you aren’t opposed to using the Epic Store, my personal top recommendation as far as new profiles for the next vorpX are concerned is Control (G3D/Z3D). Great game.

There will also be an official Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order profile (G3D/Z3D), Remnants from the Ashes (Z3D) will be added, and and if you like racing games, F1 2019 (G3D/Z3D) is worth a look.

And if by any chance 4X strategy with vorpX sounds appealing to you, get Civilization V (sic!). After only about five years or so on my internal ‘I-should-really-do-this-sometime’-list I finally implemented some DX9 compatibility improvements that allow G3D for the game. Looks absolutely awesome on the cinema screen.

vorpX 20.1.0 will be out either tomorrow or on Chrsitmas Eve, there still is a bit of profile fine tuning work to do.
